Finally got round to trying George’s after being recommended by a friend. Food was piping hot and the chips were beautiful. As I was waiting the standard of frying looked amazing by what I seen in the heater. The place Is spotless. Staff were very quick with service and so friendly. Great value with the pricing and portions. I would say the best chip shop In the WS postcode! Will definitely be back!

Had a LARGE cod and a handful of chips.... I was stuffed!! Good meaty piece of fish, lightly battered chips and service with smile and good banter. Staff are very bubbly and full of smiles 😃 even with George supervising in the background 😃 😀 Shame there's no seating outside 😉

After a couple of our local chip shops changed hands and went drastically downhill we had to travel a little further and we found Georges, an absolute gem. Everything we have had has been excellent, definitely our new favourite fish and chip shop

Went there because of all the reviews and was not disappointed. George was there when we went and he is awesome. Truly loves what he does and the craft, he took good care of us, food was amazing, service was quick. The fish was sooo amazing i dont think i have ever had fish like that soo white and perfectly flaky.

Love it the fish and sausage melted in my mouth and the chips were delicious I would really recommend this chippy I know I will be going back to it and it was clean inside and the staff were really really nice and friendly
